As said in the title, I just want to know what i could stock in a 40 gallon tank (36") for life that are monsters, considering I am on a monster fish forum.

Most "monsters" won't exactly fit a 40 gallon (depending on what you consider monstrous). Peacock eel?

But I suppose large cichlids are the closest you're gonna get. Geophagus? Those get to around 8-10 inches and stay relatively peaceful.
how do ebjds or jags? maybe bichirs as a growout? or sevs? I just wan't at least 1 maybe a pair of nice showfish. Maybe if i can get my hands on a dwarf pike, yeah?
