Just picked up 5 wild Geophagus altifrons "Manaus" from a local guy in Dallas. 4M/1F-Im going to get the last two (another pr) tomorrow. They range from 7-10" without trailers. These are the best looking altifrons I've ever seen-

Wow, those are really, really good looking fish.
Wish I could find some that nice around here.

Very very nice

I'm interested in know if thats a plastic decoration tree root or if thats a fossilized tree root.. cuz thats really neat.. never seen a decor like that before.. what is exactly?

Nice score Grey. Are they breeding and do you know the locality?

Thanks-
The guy I got them from got them a couple of years ago from a seller on aquabid that is pretty well known-can't remember the name right now.

They are from Manaus.

I'm going to try to breed them-I have about 800 umbee fry in my garage....figured that was plenty so I sold the pair earlier this week-there will be 4M/2F after tomorrow. There is a5th male that Im getting too-but it has a bad eye and Ill give him to a friend of mine with some other geos.

I'd like to add some rotkiel or super red sevs.
