sweet vid!!

i didnt even see the rhom until u threw in the food lol

they are ambush predators so that's how they do it in the wild :)
there's no fish, then you put your hand in and chomp chomp chomp...you leave with one less finger lol

the piraya is 5~5.5", caribes are 4-5", the reds are 3" or so. all guesstimated. :)

even though my new tank is much more interesting than my old one, I still miss the way a serra glides through the water....

Coop, you gotta come back to the good side. :)
How you feeling now? out of hospital now?

good side? I thought we were all on the dark side...:naughty:

there's a piranha tank in my future. It's just a matter of time. This time around I will actually have a tank of an appropriate size, and a shoal. The other day I was talking to my wife about buying a bike (I grew up riding motorcycles and used to work on em some) and she said, and I quote, "if you don't buy one of those death traps I'll support your purchasing a massive fish tank." :headbang2

I'll even come here and ask questions like "how many rhoms can i keep in a 55g?" and "is it okay to feed newborn kittens to my fish?" You guys can inundate me with newbie info. It'll be great!

na, Coop, cichlids are evil, p's are good. lol

good to hear that your wife supports you on a massive tank but I would suggest you find out what's massive to her. she might think 90g is massive where we think 900g is more like it...you know what I mean. :)
you can keep many many rhoms in a 55g, as long as they remain in their "egg" form then you'll be fine. as for newborn kittens, as long as you gut load them with "good stuff" you'll be ok.

oh yeah. I am feeling much better now. I did have to make a trip to the ER that day I talked to you, but I was back out a few hours later. Official Dx is viral infection. The nurse who did my initial health assessment thought i might have Dengue fever from my trip to cambodia, but no labs to confirm. Now I'm up all night playing catch up, but at least I'm alive.
