I was at the aquarium the other day and they had rainbow trout and salmon and they were awesome, we don't have those here in South Florida. I'd like to see some pics if anybody has some. Also sunfish, they are awesome as well and would like to see some pics, maybe smallmouth bass too, I don't hear much about those. Let me see what you guys got.

trout and salmon are very tricky to keep and in most places illegal without a license-

You'd better check with your state fish and game as to rules and regs of keeping game fish such as trout, salmon, bass, etc.

I had both at one point. .. they are cold water fish up here. not sure about everywhere. but where I'm from .. other then cod etc in the ocean all you can fish in ponds are salmon and rainbow trout. so last summer I took home one of each (alive) and kept them for a week or so. Got rid of them when I bought my 9" oscar and needed to turn the temp up. the salmon became my supper and the trout became the oscars haha. they are really awkward and boring to keep in an aquarium in my opinion.

I dont know of any MFK members keeping trout or salmon as all require cold water and lots of space.

and another thing .. the problem with salmon (I'm assuming everywhere not just here) are river fish. they need a fair bit of current .. where as trout aren't so having both of them in my tank was hardd. neither would be happy either way
