I skipped my water change this saturday, and I noticed that my Angelfish were cleaning a spot on the filter intake tube (wish it had been somewhere else). Came home from school today to see this!
I'm so excited, this is there 3rd spawn. I think that it is because there was no stress from a water change. I think that there must be about 150-200 eggs now. They are still laying.
The male Angelfish really doesn't like the 2 spot gourami. When they aren't breeding they are best of friends though.

They are done with the laying. Now they are fanning, mouthing, cleaning, and gaurding. I just hope the the man did his part.....

I think that this time I will leave them in with the parents and see what happens. At least until they are free swimming. Never know what will happen.

Is it alright if I feed them crushed flake food? I know they have it in a powder at petstores.
Or could I go with frozen baby brine shrimp?
or a boiled egg yolk? I heard that somewhere.

Thanks!

Thanks, I just need to find one now. I'm so excited!

I just finished putting a sponge over the intake. The parents went crazy!

It's so much fun to watch them both fanning the eggs.

Try not to disturb parents since that is when they get stressed and eat the eggs..looks great so far... i am excited for you.. we feed our own baby brine shrimp that we hatch... {my hubby does it.} it is so tiny.. almost cannot see it..but yes feed frozen baby brine..

I will not go near the tank. Just look from across the room.
I will get frozen baby brine shrimp, as soon as I know that the eggs will make it.

Thank you very much for your help Red Devil, I'm glad there is someone else on MFK that keeps and breeds angelfish!

You've got some beautiful angels man!
