My birchir was slashed all under is under side didnt look nice at all . I addded salt and up the temp and he healed up fine . Good luck

thanks for all the kind words everyone!!
i just got home and its not lookin good. hes getting a huge bubble in his eye, its getting worse. it looks like air... he keeps doing slow laps around the tank which isnt good, hes wasting energy.
he has always been a tough cookie, but hes also pretty fragile in ways...
hope he pulls through but i started looking up companies to get him stuffed if he dies
ill keep everyone posted...

I hate to bring this up and I'm sure you're considering it, but give him as long as it takes for him to recover without it becoming inhumane. If it gets too bad, euthanize. You want to give him a fair amount of time to recover. It's always a possibility. Good luck and keep us posted.

ive deff thought about it, and deff wont let it go too long.
im rely thinking of transfering him to a diff tank and researching a good eye medication. hes still alive and fairly well but his eye is infected bad...

just transfered him to a tank of his own. was pretty easy since he was pretty weak.
i just did about 1 lb of salt. contemplating a prima/mela or maracyn med... any suggestions?
