On saturday picked 3 pearl/motoro from one person and picked up 2 motoro from the airport the same day, a blue motoro and a Royal. The pearl/motoro's where in a cooler themselves when I picked up the motoro's at the airport. I realized the Royal had high ammonia in the bag so I immediately put the motoro in the cooler with the 3 pearl/motoro to prevent anymore damage to the stingray as I still had 1 1/2hr drive home. I used no water from the bag and put the stingray straight in the cooler. The motoro I moved into the cooler had it's disc burnt from the ammonia and I treated the tank with 1lb of salt per 100gallons and turned up the heat to 86. I haven't really seen any of the rays eat but that might be expected from stress from shipping. I tried worms but I am not sure if they ate them. All the rays seem to be doing fine except for one.
Well this is day 5 and the Blue Motoro is curling it's disc downward. I had the light on checking them for a few minutes and this same ray actually flipped right around and was laying on it's back. I can actually put my hand in and turn him back around without him moving. It's breathing doesn't look normal but his disc isn't turning upward it's turning downward. It is also darker in color then the other rays. I have done 2 water changes in the last 5 days and tested the water and everything is zero and the ph is 7.5. Should anything else be done besides water changes and food? The pearl/motoros are healthy and the Royal is still on his last legs from the ammonia burn.
