Good question. I am curious as well. I wonder if the pair that Sticky Rice had for sale was mature? The male looked it. I think they were around 10-11".

I was just wondering since motoro mature at aroun 10-12" that maybe hystrix would be like 8-10"?? a friend of mine has a 7" male hystrix from one of the small batches of pedro's and it is nearly mature.

Can you get a picture of your friend's male hystrix? My male is 6.5" and his claspers are tiny.

mine looks mature or damn close at about 8 1/2
 
My male's claspers were really tiny until a few weeks ago, he hit 8" and it seemed like over a week or so time frame his claspers tripled in size.. He's almost mature now..:D Not sure what made him mature so quick but i'm glad, i was getting to think he was never gonna mature.
