At first I was pretty certain, but now I'm starting to have some doubts...

Only two fish seem to really be affected at the moment, my male and female Carpinte.

Been treating the tank with salt treatments for a day and a half.

Mostly it seems to be at the base of the females fins.
I hope the photos help, but really she hates being photographed.

Thanks :)

Hard to tell from the photos, because i'm not sure if the white spots are attached to the fish or if they're floating, but it looks like ich to me.

The photo below is a pretty advanced case, but if your fishes white spots look like this its a pretty sure sign. I just googled 'ich' and looked at google images.

The only reason I'm doubting it being ICH is that it seems to be quite localized and the growths seem to be quite large and not just little salt grain sized.

My BF's father just arrived, and while no expert on fish entirely, has said that he used to get similar out break in his old pond ant it was some kind of fungal cotton infection ?

I'll try to get extra shots, but really they are being rather impossible.

The growths seem to be localized to being around the fin and gill area.

Also, they aren't exactly white - they are kinda brown/beige.

any idea on treatment?

getting worried about it as it seems to be spreading to my male carpinte...

After a quick google... i am starting to suspect cauliflower disease...
