I do 50-70% water changes every Saturday. I use Prime and for as long as I can remember, I have been putting it in after I fill the tank back up with city water from the faucet. I havent ever lost any fish due to this process, but I talked with someone today that SWEARS that its not good for the fish to be sitting in chlorinated water for the 30 minutes it takes me to fill my tank back up.

What process do you guys/gals use, or does it not matter?

I drop half a capfull in the 6gal containers I use to get the water to the tank.

usually have a spare tub which is 120 gallons and filled that up first than add conditioner

I add it right before I begin filling the tank. Then I add a little more at the end.

that sounds like what I do! just for a good measure in my case.

I fill it one bucket at a time ad ad treatment to each bucket... sucks on the big tank, sbut that way every drop of water is treted before going into my tank

i plan to set up a 100g holding tank, with a tap built right in, that way i can fil it, treat it, and then pump it into my tanks for water changes, but i've been saying that a while lol
