I'm posting another one of these cuz ppl get off subject. I had a an accident with my 75 so now I'm starting over again. I will probly setup my 55 gallon and 2 bichirs in it and a big cichlid. This will not be a permanent home. W hat I'm asking for is ideas for a cichlid to keep in a 55 or grow out into a tank that will be anywhere from a 75-125 gallon. I want another jag as i had one and i think they are the best of the cichlids. My other thoughts were a JD, EBJD, Midas, or 2 green terrors The bichirs are still small and the fish i buy will be a baby only a couple inches

Im not sure about cichlids and polys, ive got a sajica and a blockhead in the growout tank with my sens and p pollis and two endlis and they are going to be moved soon because they are both quite aggressive towards the polys.
Just my 2p
Good luck

steve

JD/EBJD could be OK for life in your 55, they might be your best bet, and then you could always add a jag once you've got the bigger tank. They'd probably work together, and the jag would grow quicker than your JD anyway so your jack would have a bit of growth on it already.

Grammodes would be cool too, if you're looking for aggressive.

yea im trying to figure things out b4 i move out cuz i wanna set my 125 but i know it can cost alot to run them. I also saw a video of a guy who had a jag in a 50 gallon alone. could something like that work for life cuz the tank dimensions are shorter but wider. Would this be ok for life for a jag if it didnt work woth other fish and i had to move him. I think the 50's are 36 7/8 x 19 x 19 5/8
