Question: I have a jardini that's about 20 inches long he swallowed a piece of plastic off of my fluval canister filter. He has a lump on his stomach. He bends his head down a little. He still has his appitite. I believe he is moving his bowels. I fed him he ate bout 16 large golfish. His stomach went down after a couple of days but the plastic lump remains. I'm scared as hell. Is there anything I can do im scared he's gonna die. He still swims around the tank. I had him n my silver together in the same tank 10 years.

How big of a piece of plastic?

hope it all works out for you and your arro man, that is a long time to have one fish and a **** way to loose it.

Good luck partner!

Yes epsom salt is a laxative but you don't want laxatives when the stomach acid can't actually break down the inorganic material, so removing the filter part manually could be the best option in my opinion.
