I'm trying to clear out some space in my tanks in preparation for downsizing in a few months. I may be willing to meet as far away as Cincinnati or Indianapolis depending on how many fish you're willing to purchase, plus $20 for gas...

2x Climbing perch, ~5.5" : $5 each
1x Leopard Ctenopoma, ~3.5" : $5
1x Gymnogeophagus balzani, ~3.5" : $10
6x Shortnose gars, ~10-17" : $25 each
1x Bluegill, ~5.5" : $5
1x Thick Lip Gourami, ~3.5" : $5
1x Female False map turtle, ~7" shell, $25

Also considering selling the following, make me an offer and we'll see!
1x Albino Channel Catfish, ~12-13", eating anything and everything!

The gars are feeding on just about anything you toss in the tank as well. The only holdout is the smallest one, which I have yet to see eat pellets. Except for him, they will all eat:

Pellets (any brand)
Freeze Dried Krill
Earthworms
Market Shrimp
Tilapia
Silversides
Feeders (very occasionally at this point)

The turtle is eating pellets, krill, shrimp, silversides, and tilapia. Also the occasional crayfish.

Pics can be found by searching my threads, but I can post up new pics upon request.

Downsizing? What happened to the new tank build?

Finances have gotten tough lately. :( I'd like to get down to one or two tanks for now.

Plus I *may* be taking an out of country job next year, so I don't want to load up on fish or big tanks until I found out what's happening with that, which won't be until some time this summer.

Sucks to hear you have to downsize.

let me know if you are up this way and Ill take the Balzanii. Probably not much help to you, but just in case :D

Yah, it sucks. I'm not in trouble yet, but I'm close. It'll just be easier if I can move some stuff out, and cut back on the feeding bills :nilly:.

Cool. I have family in Martinsville/Bloomington, so if I make my way up there in the next few weeks I'll let you know.

Also thinking about trades for snakes, lizards, or stingrays. But I would really prefer cash.

do you have solid locality info on the shortnose gars? if so, please email me and let me know...richard and i are meeting tomorrow and may be interested in the group--

I do have pretty solid locality. I don't know what watershed/stream/river they came out of, but the guy I got them from lived in New Harmony, IN, and he said he collected them just north of where he lived. The only real body of water around there is the river that separates/is the border between Indiana and Illinois, so it would probably be a stream running off of that river.

Let me know, as I'd give you first dibs on the group if you want them.
