favorite dead pleco

This was my favorite pleco-found dead few minutes ago. I had him for about 8 months and he was always fat, although he has bloated a tad post mortam. No idea why he died, last night he was active and ate some algae-meat wafers.
I never did get a positive ID on him so if you could help me out I would be greatful.

I was thinking that too but I did a count and there are no golf balls missing from the tank.

sorry to hear about your loss :( did you check your water stats? what did you feed him?
 
Water parameters are fine. He ate an omnivourus diet, his favorites were Xtreme fish sticks, HBH algae wafers,and Kens earthworm-veggie flakes.
 
Its internal infection.. I've had a pleco that died from the same thing.. The stomach content inside is usually water... It can happen a fish if it has some form of internal disease..

Sorry fr your lost... It looks like its a Snowball pleco..
