my 700 gallon tank getting what i would cosinder to be about a 500 gallon water change (including water inside 200 gallon sump)

it all starts with the backwash of my Extreme Biofilter. i turn the vavle to backwash and it starts to clean the filter and pump water down the sewer line.

then when the water is low enough i add ULTIMATE to remove chlorine, chloramines, etc...

then thanks to my BOSCH tankless hot water heater i dont run out of hot water to fill the tank back up. i used to run out with my old 40 gallon hot water heater.

then when its all full i plug the filter back in.

all in all the whole 500 gallon water change takes about an hour and minimal efforts.

no hoses, no siphons, no work!! monster all the way!

damn thats pretty freakin efficient. if i ever get a tank that big i hope you can explain how you set yours up.

Awesome! Just curious...How do you remove debris (excess food, waste, etc.) from your tank?

Your setup is killer to say the least by the way;).

thats the best part! i have no debris to remove. with a sand substrate and large rays the debris is always suspended and the filters suck it up like nobody's business!

thanks!!

wow thats a huge water change! how often do you do these??

usually ever 4-5 days or so. as often as every 3 days. never let it go more than 7 days.
