How about some love for the little guys, cryptos and archo's

I was looking this morning while working on water changes and I realized I have 13 different cryptoheros and archocentrus types. Always favorites of mine but I didn't realize I was keeping so many. Some people like to hate on this group of fish because they breed easy but they are easily the most entertaining and enjoyable group of New worlds for me at least.

Here are a few very bad pics of some of them. All of these are outside in my room in the garage so I never clean the glass. That water is always clean, the glass is never.

My list is Blue sajica, Cryptoheros "rio sarstoon", siqua "lago nicaragua, calico cons, centrarchus, HRP "rio Monga", HRP blue, Multispinosa, neets, orange fin cons, nanoluteus, Myrnae, and Panamensis

Great pics VRWC. I think that neet picture came from GM but I can't remember. Seems like it was a tankmate with a chancho male. That should tell you how tough they are.

The archos and cryptos are the best fish in the hobby. They behave like the big guys and can actually be kept in most tanks without trouble. You are correct, there are a lot of haters, but those are just guys deluding themselves that Arapaima and RTC's are aquarium fish! Those are just big, dumb animals compared to these little guys!

Thanks cchhcc. I love that little calico female. Every local that stops by my place always asks what it is. I always say "Oh, that's just a convict", they always flip out and want some.

It was funny, at the atlanta auction I took a few pairs of them and as soon as they came up there were several people groaning. I believe most said "cons, you couldn't pay me to take them". I wanted to kick all of them in the nads!!!!! A couple of different folks bought a few of my pairs and I got emails from 2 of them saying how much they loved them. So to all the haters!!!!!
