they are indeed.

shipping is $7 for 6 or less

I have about 150 between the sizes of .5"-1.5". parent was about 2.5" when started reproducing. they have well over 300 hatchlings from my estimation. I have two adults right now carrying eggs. takes about 4 weeks for them to become free swimming I believe. (this is all personal experience and by no means scientific fact) :)

k cool sorry to like doubt you but is this like for real on marlbedcrayfish.com there like super expensive.

How many would you recomend in a barebottom 10? and a bare bottom 20?

I have about 100 .5-.75 inchers in a ten gallon with all organic peat moss as a substrate. (stuff reaks when you do a water change and your standing above or near the tank and is also very messy)

I don't think the substrate really matters but I like something in there because the flakes and pellets get caught up in it and they crays sift through it all the time.

I put the peat moss in to start growing some plants but never got around to it and my adult cray was carrying eggs so on a whim I threw her in it. After the crays were free swimming I took out the parent and left the little ones in there. Right away I noticed that they were sifting through the peat moss pulling out anything edible so I decided to leave em in there and they've been doing fine.

Also in it gives them more hiding places because they are so small they fit in every nook and cranny helps to eliminate any cannibalism as I have heard some cases of it happening.

I feed some to my frontosa colony as well. Any half way decent sized fish loves em as a snack :)

ok soudns good I plan on feeding them to some dats

can i get the deal thats on the aquabid.com bid? 10 for $5 w/o shipping?
