Hello Everyone,
As a hobby I like to create things mainly around aquatic life. Here I would like to ask the opinion of the people. I have developed a water control system for aquariums and garden Koi ponds. This system controls pH and water hardness and maintains the setting within the body of water and monitors TDS at all times. I have aquariums using this system along with a hand built garden Koi pond the aquariums have been running now for 7 years on this system the system is awaiting the final patent and is patent pending. My 72 gal. bow front housing Discus has a pH of 6.0 a TDS of 20 ppms Ammonia=0, Nitrite=0, and Nitrate = 3 to 8 ppms at all times.
My 180 gal. housing Angels, stingray, and bottom fish cats and so on has a pH of 6.8 a TDS of 75 to 100 ppms Ammonia=0 Nitrite=0 nitrate= 3 to 8 ppms at all times. I do not store water or age it, I do not change the water or add chemicals to the water or aquariums.
The tap water that feeds the system has a pH of 8.5 and a TDS of 350 ppm 0.03 ppms of chlorine. All aquariums remain clean and clear.
This system is disigned to adjust and control pH and water hardness and maintains the setting. This is done from just one water suppy and the system can adjust the settings down or up to acommodate differant spiecies of fish.
Here I would like to ask what one thinks of such a system and if you think that a system of this sort would be useful in the aquatic world. The system is around the size of a medicine cabinet all water is controlled by valves and a TDS meter making adjustment easy.
Thank you for your time hope to here the differant opinions. sassyfishwater
