stupid hawks

there is a huge hawk around my house:irked: i have a old fake owl on the ledge of my pond that has kept them away for two years but now i found a huge feather in my front yard i dont want it eating my koi or carrying off my small dog or harrassing my caged up rabbit how can i get rid of it im going to home depote to replace a pump peice that died in my filteration system would getting a bigger fake owl with a swivel head help keep it away from my pond and yard or are there any other trhings i could do?
 
You can string bird netting over top of the pond. that will help. Or you could add some sort of sprinkler/fountain or moving pond ornament that will help to keep birds away.
 
You can take fine fish line and wrap it around branches and poles so that when it comes down it will clip the wings,it will fly off without being hurt. after a couple of months it want bother your fish anymore, and for that fact most other birds too.
 
Netting or fishing line for the pond is the best option. I haven't heard of Hawks taking fish. Maybe he is just thirsty?

Is the dog smaller than a rabbit? If not, I wouldnt worry he would get taken away. One of my dogs was 2.4 lbs. when we got her and I was always on alert in the yard with her. Hawks flew over all the time and never paid any attention to her. She is now a 20lb. piglet and is more of a problem to the pond than the hawks and falcons ever were/are.

A little landscaping around the rabbit hutch can camofluge it.

Be grateful he is around. The local rat and mouse population is kept in check and they are beautiful birds. I know thats not what you wanted to hear, but think of all the people that don't get the chance to see them....

in the past hawks have dived and crashed into my pond to get the fish messing up my fountain but i havent seen the hawk anymore but im putting netting over the pond anyway
 
well you have an up hill battle but if you give a 110% you can do this man!!! cuz a sun doesnt set on a winner! a rolling stone gathers no mass! no go out there and win one for the richmiesta!
