Gar Of The Month Contest

All entries must comply with the following:

- Photo must be submitted in company with the participant's MFK username.

- Photo must be a minimum of 600 pixels in length and 300 pixels in width. Higher resolutions are more desirable.

- Edited photos are allowed.

- The photo MUST BELONG TO YOU. Violation of this rule is the equal of copyright violations.

- Gar of the Month Contest will only admit Gar-related photos.

- Entries are not to bear any watermark that can trace the image to the source. GOTM will add a watermark to your image to prevent it from being stolen. A sample of the watermark used can be viewed by *Clicking Here*.


Participant may submit his/her entry at any time, however, only those submitted prior to the deadline, which is the last day of each month at 11:59 PM GMT will be placed in the current contest. Later entries may enter the contest of the succeeding month.

Contest begins on the first of each month. There will be a limited 14 days voting period, followed by the selection of a winner with the highest number of votes from MonsterFishKeepers.com . If in the instance of more than one winner is selected (same number of votes), a secondary 7 days voting would be held to determine the winner.

ANY SOLICITATION OF VOTES VIA PM, PROFILE MESSAGE, OR THREAD WILL RESULT ON AN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION.

Winner of a GOTM contest will not be eligible to enter another Gar of the Month Contest for the next month, to ensure that Solomon's Croc II & Michael's Golden Gar don't dominate the competition completely.

Entries are only accepted through electronic mail (e-mail). Email to this account only, unless otherwise stated.

Please ensure your photo's consents to the above requirements and please do include your member name in the e-mail.

You must include, "GOTM - MFK Member Name", in the e-mail title or it will be deleted as spam/junk e-mail.


Upon submitting your entry, you hence endorse the following:


• The winning photo of the previous GOTM contest winner will be automatically nominated for the Gar Of The Year contest at the end of the year, should this go well. By entering your picture into the competition, you are accepting that your picture will be used (within the gar forum) without MFK Staff asking for your permission. The photograph will NOT be used outside of the Gar forum.




• The prize awarded to the winner of the competition will be boasting rights along with an optional, 1 month custom user title of "Gar of the month - WINNER"

bahamaqt, this idea is still on "probation"...if there isn't enough response it'll be scrapped although i get that competing against Michael is pretty damn intimidating, why not just give it a shot, who knows eh... you can always submit again in sept
