Well I lost one of my two NTT's. It sucks because it is the more stable of the two and had the bigger appetite. However it started to lose it's appetite before I left to go to the states for the weekend. And I guess my hungry aro began to hassle him. I came back and he seemed really weak. So I set up my 20g emergency tank and put him in with 75% of my old water and salt. Lost him a couple hours later.

I don't know if I did the emergency thing right but I tried. The other datnoid is still healthy and eating even more. A little dark, but at least it's eating healthy.

I'll post some pictures of it when I get home. I guess I'll have to set up my 40g long and comm. a datnoide growout? lol

Sorry for your loss. I have lost afew NTT's myself. Very sad but sometimes they look great before you buy them and Boom!, gill flukes or something you can not explain.

Sometimes known as SDS (sudden death syndrome).

My arowana has been becoming progressively aggressive. Taking swipes at this NTT. I don't think it was SDS but it could be about anything!

funny i just lost my nnt in exactly the same way... he looked exactly the same as yours dead as well..

I think the stress of moving him finished him off. Would have been better to put a hiding space in for the fish.
It's a Shame that small -ish NTT more often die than say the IT or NGT or silver.
