hey guys was at my lfs today and for the first time ever they had birchirs, they were labeled:naughty: as senigals , i was just about to get 1 then decided to ask around and do some research first, so do these fish do well with chiclids like malawis and jags etc. My tank is 220 gallons and is way overfilterd my ph is 7.5
 
Senegals are very peaceful, unless you are a fish half as small as them...

Aren't jags aggressive? And no, a senegal won't be able to take down a 15" jag. If the jag is peaceful, I say go for it.
 
How big of a senegal are we talking here? Not saying it could ever eat a monster jag, but smaller bichirs are pretty easy snacks for larger fish.
