Just reallized my 120 is crawling with these tiny white 'bugs' on the glass. they are too small to get any details other than they looking like white specks with tails, they dont crawl but seem to hop from spot to spot like fleas. they are only on the glass as far as i can see and, even though i just moved fish from the 120 to the 72, the 'bugs' dont seemed to have followed.

any idea as to what they are, if they are harmful to the fish and how i can get rid of them. just ran a course of coppersafe for ich that didnt effect them

not daphnia, smaller. i thought copepods but they seems alot smaller than the SW ones ive dealt with. makes sense though. man, they bug the hell out of me. make me feel like my tank is dirty

Bugs that live on the glass or objects in the tank are generally filter feeders or live off algae. They'll pop up in any tank sooner or later. Completely harmless.

ya i have never had these bugs before but only a couple weeks ago i introduced Massivore to the fish and with that i have had extra waste from the bits and peices still being in the tank normal i only feed what they eat so im done with mass.
