It seems I am always posting pics of this "lil"girl but I just love her so much. These are really just updated pics of her enclosure with some pics of her thrown in. She is just about to hibernate. She hasn't eatin in over a week and she is only up a couple hours a day so it will be any day now. I am still adding things to the enclosure and hopefully next year I can buy some pothos for the branches. It's still a work in progress.

Anyways enough talking here are the pics.

btw, are you still sure it's a female? cause it looks like it has jowels (sp?) in the last few pics..

Actually I am not 100% sure lol. I bought her as a male but after a while I started to assume he was a she because I saw no sperm plugs, hemipenes, or "bulges" which according to fellow tegu keepers show up BEFORE even the jowels appear. She could just be a late blooming male. She was smaller than most other tegus born the same year so maybe. But for now she is a girl ;).

keep in mind, some individuals will reach sexual maturity later than average...

justin bieber is a good example of this.;)

The enclosure turned out nice, she/he looks good too. Looking forward to an update for when she/he wakes up in spring. Mine has been hibernating for the past week and a half so far.
