Here are a little bit better pics. Some with over head flash and some no flash. The scared female seems to look a little bit better to me overall but while I was taking the pics the male was playing with the other female through the egg crate (fingers crossed). I am loving these fish Jeff!!

Great pics, thanks for posting! I can see the male is more bluish colored and the female is more yellowish on their base colorations...like mine...but bigger. :)
 
Nice. What is it your using as a divider?
 
Very nice looking Ornatums :) do you identify male from female, by looking at the blue sparkles on the fins, the male has more sparkles? What are you feeding them? How big would you say yours are?

1/2" PVC...egg crate...zip ties. Very easy to make...no glue...easy to put in and take out.

When I got them the male was labeled as such. But yes...the male has more blue spangles red on the fins...just more/different color all around. Currently feeding 3mm NLS and a earthworm here and there. They are about 7-8".
 
Best ornatum i have seen so far(just talking about that with a freind of mine today)that how all pics i have seen has been dull washed out ornatum. After looking at your pics i stand corrected.

Thanks. The pics dont really do them justice...might try to get some vid of them with my iphone. The tank there in isnt in the best spot to get pics either.
