Is this a baby black??

So my buddy that works at the local fish store, called me and said they got black arowana's in. This is the same store I got my silver and Jardini from.

I know my arowana's, and im 99.9% it is a black. I just have never personally seen them being sold this small...

best part about it, I got him for FREE. I sold them a jag about a month ago and had a $25 credit...well, this black was sold to me for $20....

Yup, will have to agree that it looks silver. I went through the same thing a few days ago. Had store credit and was going to use it towards baby aro's they had labeled as silvers but I thought were blacks. Before I bought it, I thought I'd double check and do some research. Check out some other threads on MFK about the same topic.
 
sorry, those pics I took with a video camera...

I just took some pics with a digital camera but with the tank light on, and the flash from the camera it takes away his darkness. He really is all black and has a yellow stripe behind his gills. In my first pic here, if you look at his reflection in the glass you can see the yellow stripe. The other pic, with the flash it makes his stripe vanish and gives his black a silver tint. He is a hard little guy to get a good pic of.
