Building a new tank?

I'd say it depends on what the stock is going to be. But I think a 25' tank with 3 huge windows would be a sight to see, for sure...

With the fast schooling fish, I'd go with the 25' option. Seeing the barbs, bala sharks, and flagtails zoom across a 25' span would look awesome.

Congrats.

Please tell me the buyer is keeping your tank. Not only would it be awesome to sell to an MFK, obviously, but it'd be a real shame if you had to gut that one (and temporarily house the fish somewhere too).

As for the layout, to me it'd come down to how it'd blend into the rest of the basement layout. You can make an argument for both based just on the dimensions. How it fits the room would be the tiebreak to me.

Yeah I am leaning towards the 5x25. Going to be interesting for sure.

Have a few months before I can even begin to work on it and will also have the luxury of building it first then moving the fish when complete.

And yeah I hope they new buyers want the tank to stay put. If not I might have a huge piece of glass for sale.. lol
