So I've been trying to find a good cheap 36 inch dual bulb fluorescent fixture.

Something like this :

but in 36 inch.

T5-T8 is what I'm going for.

I wouldn't be apposed to building my own fluorescent fixtures but I don't know how to do that really. Or for that matter a LED fixture even.

If you guys know where a good DIY LED or fluorescent fixture guide is please let me know. I'm hoping to make the total fixture cost less than 30 dollars.

Any way let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
 
I looked at the tombstone and balast prices at the menards by my house and its cheaper to buy an assembled fixture. Could I get a 48 inch fixture for 10 bucks and mod it down to work with a 36 inch bulb? Would the ballast or whatever in one of those work with a shorter lower wattage bulb?
