Just got a 2.5 inch BP and 1 inch BP yesterday. They have yet to eat and they mostly hide. Was wondering how long does it take for these guys to settle in a new tank and wanna eat.

I only have a 4 inch green Severum with them and after seeing them for about 30 minn yesterday he doesn't bother with them.

i got one on saturday, and he was skittish and hiding the whole time until yesterday. he's with a 1" clown loach and a 3.5" JD and he himself is probably around 3" and now he swims around all the time

Blood Parrots are very shy especially when they are little. Its normal for them to hide the day you bring them home and it could take time a month or two for them to settle in. If they are in a tank by themselves it might take longer for them to settle but with more tank mates they will feel more secure and come out sooner or never hide at all.

Are there any other fish in the tank aside from the Parrot?
