My jaguar cichlid pair wich i seperated with a divider for about
a month i have taken the divider away this morning to see if things would be cool,
there was some following around, lip locking, body shaking, (wich i filmed) i have
put them back the way they were (i put the divied back to sperate them) becuase i
wanted you guys to watch the video and see if i should leave the divider out (and
the behaviour was spawning/breeding behaviour) or move the male to a tank of his own
(it was fighting behaviour). *awaiting your reply.

and i see aggresive fighting not any spawning body laungage like shimmering or posative color displays.
I think u should put the divider back in and wait till the female is swollen with eggs and showing her sex organ then release the male and watch them closely for more posative spawnig behavior. If that goes south see if they will spawn threw the divider also ask the people u got them from about their past spawing behavior if it was that aggresive i have a pair myself and their spawnig is much more peaceful
but AQUAMOJO says thats a anal nudge so i guess mojo has seen spawning traits of different pairs and seen different things so i would go with what mojo said i guess your pair is into rough sex
