i was forced to quit for over a week now, pneumonia :(

so im just seeing if anyone has some tips or tricks.
i been smokin for about 10 years now :(
and i know the dangers and cost so no reason to say those :)

I haven't smoked for over 7 years :) I smoked for roughly over 15 years... Was second nature in our house hold as was other things :)

Smoking was the easier habit of a few i stopped doing over 7 years ago :)

Tips.. Just don't light it and you just wont smoke it :) You have a choice. Cliché But true..

For a while when i wanted to smoke i just put one in my mouth and thought about how cool i looked with it LOL.. That helped pretty good...

I've seen many try many things and all failed... Most Cold turkeys i've seen have been somewhat successful .. I cold turkeyed.. But still cigarettes were not priority to me .. Sorry..

I've seen people try Licorice root sticks .. It helped with the cravings but they didn't want to stop so didn't help long ..

I've been smoking since about the age of 12. The problem is I still really enjoy it, cigarettes taste great with coffee, beer, wine, after a big meal, in the morning with a nice drink.

I have cut down now to about 7 a day, and I'm going to try and stop, but I'll tell you what, cigarettes are WAY harder to stop than alcohol and drugs. I used to be a total bonghead, wake up in the morning the first thing I'd do is cook up a mul and start smoking. I gave up puff overnight. Same with all other drugs, all I do now is smoke, I'm finding it difficult to completely quit.

It's partly habit, the routine of having one with a coffee, after a meal etc, but they are also relaxing. I work from home, and when concentrating hard it's nice to ease yourself a bit with a drink and a cigarette, or after having finished a load of work, sit back with a cigarette and examine what you've done etc.

I'm gonna make it my new year's resolution to stop though :D
