Originally used as a dither when the reds were only quarters(1inch), this little fellow went about his everyday buisiness of digging and eating....Many times, I would find him sneaking in a "power swim" with the shoal....I have a RIO-20(850gph) on during the day, and all the fish seem to love it....The following picture exhibits my young pack's growing attitude towards "others"...

I woke up this morning to find "Grandpa" body-less....R.I.P. little buddy.....You survived 5 months with hell's water gaurdians....

im also impressed im new to this but everything i read say no mixing p's with other species of fish but 5 months sounds pretty good sorry about the fish though man good luck with the other guys though

It did well, but let us remember his role and try not to get to sad.
It provided the perfect and long lasting ditcher, and obviously a handy meal when the piranhas saw fight to eat.
It did its job, and very well. I imagine its death was rather quick and at least was not for nothing.

Importracer, you now also know that your piranhas have a taste for convicts. So what better reason than to get a breeding pair set up in another tank and harvest your own healthy and safe feeders!
