Hi all,

From my trip to the Phillippines, I also hand carried back a breeding of Red Head Severums. These dudes are wild caught specimens from Peru. Still unseen in Sgp's aquatic trade.

Not too sure is it common in the US?

I will try to breed them and hope they spawn good....

Anyway, just got pic of the other piece:

I've certainly never seen such severums till now. They look good. Are they a separate specie or just a subspecie of a current severum specie?

They are certainly the seperate specie...they are very rare and only wild caught specimens are in occassional ornamental trade..

There is actually no problem hancarrying fishes into sgp...as long as it is not an endangered specie...

and not a banned specimen.

Do they know whcih ones are banned? I m,ean example. you got ULTRA RARE fish that hasn't been described and not in textbooks and is endangered. How do they check then?
