I was in Indianapolis with JD_man and Rallysb1tch on a mission to visit a LFS after we left Repairs house. Upon arriving at the LFS, I stumbled upon a tank with 3 very nice fish which I thought were all Geophagus. I purchased all three of them thinking that my Jurupari could use some pals, took them home, and noticed something different about one of them. I knew that 2 that I had purchased were Surinams, and I thought the other was a Jurupari.
While it was in the acclimation tank the "jurupari" acted strange, refused to hang out with the other fish, and tried it's hardest to "not fit in". I figured that it was because they were a different species. I was 100% correct.

Turns out that it was an Emophagus. It refused to interact with any of my fish, including the Jurupari. It would go to the corner and feel sorry for itself. I would try to entice it with food to hang out with the other Jurupari but all I got was intolerance and rebellion.

Shortly after I added it to the tank I noticed suicidal tendencies. It would go hang out in front of the Marbled Pim as though it was taunting it.

I guess the Marbled Pim is the razor blade of fish, because Emophagus disappeared today.

I'll miss you Emophagus, and I'll think about you often to make you happy as I'm sure you were just doing it for attention.

I have attached 2 pictures to remember him. It's all I had.
