Like the title state.. I don't know about you.. But It is my personal opinion that there are some missing rules in the Classified Rules that should be added..

Due to Non interested parties Derailing and lowering value of sellers fish with their commments.. It is disrespectful and unnecassary.

Since it is very obvious that these posters are not in the least bit interested in purchasing the Items for sale. Their comments in MY opinion should be stricken from the threads they afre derailing and disrespecting..

I personally would suggest that a couple amendments well additions should be made .. To the effect of

-Underselling in original authors thread

-Derailing and spamming authors thread.

-Posting negative opinion in Authors thread.

I may not agree with some of the prices or items for sale for various reasons.. But MY OPINION in that area is not needed or warranted in someone elses view of the worth ot their product. PERIOD!!

It has been very said to watch members both old and new receive public ridicule for Resaoning of their sale or price.. And I feel it has also been very childish and disrespectful to do so.. If it's not yours to sell then why would you HATE on someone else..

Anyway..

Here is the poll.. Maybe soemthing will be done regardless of the poll.. Hopefully :)

If I missed your Poll answer please post it :)

Oh and My suggested rules are just that.. You guys are better suited to get the details down and add what rules you see fit... I am just concerned and dissapointed in members taking it upon themselves for whatever reason to destroy someone sale..

I applaud you sir :headbang2

Seems to be some trolls around these parts lately

If someone is trying to sell a fish and has all necessary information and a picture of the fish for sale there is no need to post unless you are expressing interest in buying it or to bump the thread with praise "good deal" "nice fish"
etc...

If you would look at the rules stated in the stickies above, your gripes listed above are covered. It's up to the users to read and adhere to the rules. Problem is that most users don't even read them. The staff here tries to police threads and enforce the rules as best they can. I've deleted plenty of posts that were out of context. If sellers are so upset with people derailing, trolling, spamming their thread, they'd be best served in reporting the issue to the mods and help the situation, instead of making it worse by getting into skirmishes.

you need to get out more...

I attempted to report someone that totally derailed one of my buy/sell threads and I couldn't do it. It kept asking me for a subject but there was no place to put a subject. Maddening...

For the record, I could see no reason for this individual to hijack my thread with negative (and wrong) information other than personal satisfaction or to make the fish they sell look better. The mods did nothing and the thread melted into a mess. I had *several* requests for the fish I was selling until the troll started posting bad information. I had no choice but to defend myself. Was I to let this guy trash my reputation? That was exactly what he was attempting to do. It left a permanent bad taste for MFK in my mouth. Totally pissed me off actually. The Buy/Sell section is no place for juvenile idiots with nothing better to do than ruin someone else's happy thoughts for the benefit of their own shallow personalities or their own pocketbooks. The mods left me to wallow in it... What good is a buy/sell section if it is ruled by e-thugs that sell B-grade hybrids and spend their time hijacking people's threads claiming that their fish are also B-grade hybrids. If you read through the thread in question, that person also came dangerously close to making personal threats and absolutely NOTHING was done by the mods on this site.

It's too bad really...

If for some reason the post reporting feature does not work, use the PM function and send a message with the link to the thread in question to whatever mod you see in the "online users" list. That's an even quicker way to get a response than having a mass e-mail sent out with a post report. When did this happen? If this was a couple of weeks ago, we were undergoing a system-wide upgrade, so we were a little short staffed during that time. The mods can't possibly cull every offending post without the help of the users too.

As an example, if a crime was going on and the police were not there to handle it, would a person not call 911 and report the crime so that they can send someone to the scene? The police do not magically know when a crime occurs, just like the mods don't magically know when an inflammatory issue occurs unless we happen to come across it. Next time, please send a PM and I guarantee you'll get a better response. I'll have one of the admins look into the reported post function.
