I had to net my biggest Oscar last night because of agression problems and I moved it to a different tank. The problem is it's eyes. I looked at it thismorning and there is white patches on it's eyeballs... Does anyone know if this will heal or ever experienced this before? thanks

it could be Lymphocystis it is the most common viral disease, it creates white areas around and w/ in the eyes. It is not highly infectios, but can spread threw direct contact, it is treated w/ the fishes imune system and it is not fatal. and very commonly cured. i hope that helps.

Actually the white spots were large scuffs from the net and her thrashing about. She died from stress shortly after the move anyways...very sad. I have never lost a fish from a move before. I'm very bummed out.
Thank you for the replt though, may be very helpful in the future.

that is sad how old was it?

sorry for your loss

sorry

that sucks. Sorry to hear about that.

Oscars dont die from stress. unless it was getting thrashed on by the other fish..

just handling an oscar wont kill it.. i used to hold mine and examine it when swiming in the 2000gallon.

Also. the white is excessive slime coat.. it typically occures when the fish is stressed and when there is foul water quality..
