So here are a couple of pics that my buddy Matt e-mailed me today. They are of a 11"-12" male Red Cobra Pike attempting to eat a 15"-16" Fire Eel. I don't know if y'all remember me posting pics of the havoc his 20" Jardini wreaked on his fish, but he got rid of the Jardini yesterday and now the Pike is stepping up! ENJOY!!!!:(  :nilly:  Not sure how to feel:screwy: !

did he finish?

Actually ...no. At one point he spit the eel out and the eel turned around a bit the pike on the lip! Last I heard the pike and the two Marmoratus cats were taking turns chewing on the poor bastard.

Just curious, why wasn't it saved ?

Too late by the time Matt noticed, there was very little life left in the eel and the tank is 10'x3'x4' (LxWxH) with lots of wood and rocks. The pike would have simply darted under a boulder and kept on chewin'.

Dang, that's a pike indeed! Sorry about the eel.

Get anything interesting in the store lately?
