They'll work fine (I use them)...stack every other layer if you have enough round scubbies.

Have you thought about the round floor scrubbing pads, they come in several different grades of courseness. http://www.natcleaning.com/Products-FLOOR_PADS_ETC_-5-.html And thy're available at janitorial supply stores. Just cut them up.

They deteriorate if left in water over time, but they can work if packed a little tight (I cut the edges off of mine to make them square and stacked them alternately so water won't channel).

Hey guys,
I've been having trouble getting enough of the standard nylon scrubbies to fill up my new W/D. Has anyone ever used scotch brite scouring pads (I knew them as green scrubbies)? As far as I know, they don't have any cleanser on them, and the ones I plan on using don't even have lettering.

Just be careful, as some Scotch Brite have anti-bacterial chemicals, which will kill your filter.
