so here's my filter ready and waitting for the asian aro's

so this is my 400 liter filter/sump.

it is divided in 4 sections: -

1st the water gets in thrue a filter bag , then it has plants (sweet patatoes and water stick) that make a lot of roots,

in the between section there is an activated carbon bag,

than move to 2nd section witch is only white fiber,

then to 3rd section with ceramics, peat, bio-balls many types, detirifyer, and 2 tipes of blue foam, one denser than the other...

than in the dividing section i have 2 400w heaters,

on 4th section there is a 5800 liter/h pump pushing the water back to the tank,

but before this there is a little 500liter pump that brings water back thrue a JBL 36w UV light from the 4th to the filter bag in the first secction. sterilized and sharp clean.

on the 4th section where the white plastic net is there is gonna be 2 bags of vulcanic rock.

what do you think? i think it will be enough, or do you guys think i'm forgetting something?

by mess i hope you are talking about the garage floor and not the filter or are you? :confused:


and the fish is only there temporaraly, it's a friends trimac that was killing his fish... very nice trimac, but he's leaving tomorrow, for i have enough cichilds.. :D
 
Looks good. A little messy maybe but who's sump isn't. I say bring the arow on..(after it's cycled of course.. lol)

thanks it guess i looks worse beacause of the rust in the iron stand.

and it's not one aro... lol... this tank is 900 liters and 400 liter sump and it is going to house for now 5 asians, 1 red , 1 blue base crossback 24k gold, 1 rtg, 1 green and one banjar, it is also gonna have a silver, a little jar, 2 couples of rays motoro and humerosa, and some various dats. :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:
 
Looks good.

I'm really big on having lots of BB so i would only have half of section 2 filled with white fiber and add lots of ceramic noodles, as much as you can, but thats not saying that this filtration wont work or is not good enough.

You dont have any of the water actually trickling down do you? Looks like it goes into a plastic tub and then straight to the rest of the water - no trickle - so basically this is working like a canister filter or am i missing something?

Doesn't look messy to me this is nothing to some of the sumps i have seen
