it's a regular tig just deformed. Looks like he has a slightly severe downwar curvature of his upper spine. Could have broken his atlas previously and this is how it healed, but I am thinking it's a deformity looking at other anatomical structures of the skull being altered also.

it doesn't look to bad but i think people call shovel nose catfish duck bill catfish its a normal tig it might have hump head like TSN's get but thats it

His head is only slightly deformed, this deformity or injury occurs in the spine. Actually appears that maybe the occipital condyl is curved downward, and the atlas continues this curvature. IMO anyway. lol. I've noticed that in catfish that have deformities they tend to get worse as they grow and their bones get longer the deformities become exaggerated. Good luck with this guy. I say give him a nice home, a lesser person would do away with it. I've been told that I shouldn't keep my tsn with his curved skull because it lessens the quality of fish in the hobby. I like him just fine though. Lots of personality.

yeah what is this duck bill type u speak of lets see some comparative pics please.

LMOA there is no such thing as a "duckbill tig" his tig happens to have some type of deformity thats all... wether it be a birth defect or an odly healed injury is unsure... but it's not a duck billed tig lmao
