went out netting/fishing - gator style

went after that big gar again.
didnt get a big one,just caught a little one.
had lots on but there hard to hook.

also caught a turtle,hooked 3 but 2 got off right at the shore.
and one tilapia.

the monster of the day
i caught a small one in miami months ago and played croc hunter.
well this time i was worried,he wasnt a 12 incher.lol
took me i would guess a half hour to unhook.
put up a good fight then when he hit land things got sketchy
was hooked under the mouth so the jaws worked great.
i hooked the lure on a stump to think it out.lol
drug onshore and was to scared to just try to grab hook with pliers.
so i got a stick and he bit down and didnt let go so i went in and un hooked the lure. "tense moments" lol
released unharmed.
also was worried to put my foot by him for a pic
wasnt thinking of the yard stick with bright numbers i made for the trip "new tool"
i figure 3'+

then i went to that ditch full of gar.had a few on but then it got dark.
so i just scoop netted and dumped in bucket.
"my surprise bucket"lol
got home to see what i caught,
skeeter fish
ghost shrimp
snails
a bunch of fl flagfish
jewel
crawdady

i netted less then 10 min today,was to busy fishing and the gator.lol
and thats it for today.
not a good day but sure not my worst
