12x6x4 Plywood Tank (Stingray Galore)

Hey MFK!!

Been a long time since i've posted here! So i hope everyone is doing well!

So after talking about building a beast of a tank for a good while, i finally hit gold and acquired 3 aquarium glass panes - 3.2m x 1m (x2)
1,7m x 1m (x1)

After careful deliberation and a crap load of research, i decided to make three tanks out it -

12x6x4
12x3x4
5'7x3x4

this thread is mainly about the 12x6x4 however i will showcase the others as time goes on!

This will be a long term project as alongside all of this, i've got a lot going on! So bear with me! Below are photos of the tank -







Unfortuanetly, one of the panes cracked during transport hence why i've had to make a plywood tank. Best of all.. i got this beast for free haha.

So the main purpose for me creating this thread was to ask two questions.

Question one -

What do you think of my filter concept design?



Question 2 -

Does anybody know of other waterproofing agents similar to Pond armor that could be used to waterproof this tank? ideally uk based.

Haha yes definitely!! I've been watching loads of videos of tutorials but I've not come across anything to do with bed liners. Could you provide any insight?

Any epoxy will work but if you want you can also build a plywood box and hire someone to spray polyurea. Tank will last you a life time. Not cheap. I'll post a link for you.

This is the best waterproofer one can use hands down
