I have a 8x3x2 almost done setting up, planning on moving my:
5 inch Weeksii Bichir
10 inch Weeksii Bichir
8 inch Mokememble Bichir
8 inch Golden Longfin Senegal Bichir
7inch platinum Senegal Bichir
7 inch ornate

Into the 300. My question is would I be able too get a south American lung for in there or would that be a no no. I had a african lung awhile back and he was a menace lol but I heard I could get away with south American?
If so I assume he should be the same size as my bichir?
And would a Florida gar also work in there?

I think both are a possible.

I read that SA lungfish can be aggressive aswell, but I have yet to see someone back it up with personal experience while there is lots of footage out there of people keeping then with various other fish. There is risk you get an aggressive one, but that goes for all fish that can bite others. And if they are the same size the Bichirs will not be at a deadly risk.

Gars can be jerks sometimes, but bichirs can take that. I at least never had issues keeping those two together and the looks match. However they do bite fins sometimes, so your longfin might not be happy.

Yes!
I agree with (Ansorgi) both will be fine. I have an 8’ tank that’s 450 gallons. I have kept all the fish you mentioned. They will live togeather fine. Keep them well fed. Fat fish don’t fight :)
