60+ inch Longnose Gar

Caught this guy field sampling yesterday. The Missouri state record is only 65 1/2 inches, this guy was close.

I have several friends in the zoo industry and some of them work on komodo projects in Indonesia.

I see monster long nose like this in lake st. Clair but I've never been able to get them to bite. What'd you catch it on?

We were actually sampling for larval fish and this guy got caught in our nets.
