Hey guys, I am about to start a build with tank dimensions of 8ftx5ftx30 inches tall. I know it would probably be best to fork out the extra money and do it in 1 inch thick cast. Do you think I could get away with 3/4 cast? I would be bracing the top every 24 inches. What do you guys think?

3/4 with eurobracing would work, but you would definitely need to brace it securely. I had an 8' 300G that used 1/2". It bowed badly, but held for years.

So I keep flip flopping but have decided on my final dimensions. 120x48x24tall. If I use a full sheet on top with access holes is it ok to do this build in 1/2" thick cast?
