I was thinking of dat or to put him in the lfs for a few days..but here the weather is very cold at the moment so I m thinking if I transfer it it will probably die for the changes in the water. So I m hesitating..please I want some suggestions.. can't he survive in dat for 39 days

Please re-home your fish to the lfs, you need to act responsibly at this point for the sake of the fish.

If you love arowanas, get another when you upgrade to accomodate it; and learn their needs.

It is with me for about 6 months..and then the tank cracked..so have to put him in the 20..just 39 more days and then there will be a 300 gallon in my home

there will be a 300 gallon...and no fish to put in it.

Trust me, try and get a large plastic tub; old bathtub, anything that will offer a substantial improvement in space while you wait. If your fish is lying on the bottom, he is probably stressed out of his nut and won't last 2 weeks, nevermind 39 days.

Just being realistic

Convicts correct don't wait in hope that your around survives the wait for the 300 , see if the lfs will house it (even if it's for a small fee) until your setup , if that's not possible you need to either find a container tote big enough or build a temp plywood box and line it with pond liner or something along those lines ,it'll be much better for your arm's stress levels if the waits comfortable

....wow haha.
as all others have said-rehome/lfs babysit/storage tote-only options you have. The fish will not survive your month long waiting period.

Just get a cheap plastic tub/tote. That will surely be better than 20 gallons.

I agree with convict360, rehome it, get another when you have the tank set up.
