I am thinking of turning my 125 gallon into an Amazonian tank with lots of branches, algae, blackwater and floating plants. I know algae is not good but I want that real murky look going. I was hoping that maybe those of you out there with these styles of tanks would post pics to give me a better idea. Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated. I have posted a few pics of my tank to show what I have to work with.

nice tank
for an amazonian tank and tons more plants and add some dead oak leaves, that will give the water the brownish look you seem to be looking for:)

Thanx... Ive used peat before, (not many Oak trees around these parts) which works but takes awhile. I was wondering about coconut husk because that seems to turn the water dark alot faster, also I just added a large root I found yesterday which is already working well. Once I get some more floating plants in there that will darken the appearance also.
