Thanks for all the kind words guys :D

I got some good progress done in the last couple of days.
Yesterday I bought my gel coat and a few other things, and got the smaller window frame glued and screwed into place.

Then today I got the 2 plywood sides installed and the structural supports 95% complete before I ran out of time and battery power in my cordless drill, but overall I am pleased with the progress and the way it is looking at the moment.

Tomorrow I will cut and fit the top 3/4" sheet that will be a splash frame and double brace to stop (or reduce) the bowing. That should be all the main wood work complete and I will be filling all screw holes and small gaps with 2 part epoxy putty.

On the weekend I have a friend coming around to help me with the fiber glassing, he has done fiber glassing a ton of times, which is good because I have never done it before ;)
