How is an arapaima not a true carnivore? Just curious to your reasoning

He definetly is, but as of now, the jahu ond fishin records is one kg heavier than the heaviest arapaima.

But i would not be surprised if the silurus glanis or pangasius sanitwongsei could reach even more, sadly both don't get any chance to become really old these days.

Sadly this seems to be the case with all true monster fish now.

Yeah i agree, but species which just groß faster are probably not that much effectet. South american catfish all grow quite fast so i guess that's why there are still such true monster out there like this gigantik jahu. Sanitwongsei should also großw quite fast, but the mekong is one of the biggest messes in the world.
