whats under ur stairs lol? just upgraded my Axos a bit from their grow out cubicles and moved their system. I have 9 total seperated into 3 groups of 3. Hoping to breed them. System is 65 gallons, top tank i made for them from scratch is 48"x18"x6" 25 gal with a removable divider. Bottom tank is a standard 20 high and they run on a 20L sump. They are also on an autodrip system of .5gph to keep them in clean/cold water 24/7. Absolutly love these guys. Got my 1st 2 at 2-3" back in september and piked up 7 more from a local breeder shortly after. 3 groups are paired up by size 9"ers,7"ers and 6"ers. They are all GFP: wildtype, melanistic, leucistic, albino and golden albino.

Oh my gosh, I just joined yesterday. I'm thrilled to find Axies on here! I currently have three. I just got my biggest guy Friday. I have a baby black mel, a male gray mel and an albino male. Toothless, Murky and Camo. I'm curious to know what you feed yours to get growth like that? They all appear to be pretty large. Here are my two big guys.
Thanks!

FishyCarChick FishyCarChick , most of the pics are of my 7"ers... my biggest 3 are in the higest part of the current and stick to the shadows lately. the green pupil black eyed lucy pictured is an easy 9" but its hard to tell.. They all currently eat hikari sinking gold pellets. In their time with me theyve been on salmon pellets, trout pellets, hikari massivore/carnivore and now the sinking gold as there getting big and the gold is only $14.99 for 2.2lbs. They really grew quick after being put on an autodrip system also. I siphon out debris if needed daily and the system fills back up automatically on top of being changed 24/7 at .5 gal an hr.

Sweet, thanks for the help! My baby is on frozen blood worms. My biggest guy WAS being fed salmon pellets. My albino (whom I've had the longest, since October) is eating night-crawlers. Though, I think I'll begin to supplement them with the Hikari gold! I appreciate the tips!

I just hand fed mine to get them all on pellets, they all readily bite my hand/fingers if i need 2 get in the tank now lol... but it worked. now i can just drop pellets near their head/ or in the tank and they find them easily.

That is so cool. I plan on making/buying a 75L tank (60x50x25)
Only problem is I don't know where to get them in south Africa...
